hsm sing it (wii) January 7, 2009 This game is really good n easy 2 use also they sing it like a pro is gd cause not only well it help in the game but also when ever you sing. The only slight problem is tht it only comes with one mic so u need 2 get another if u wat 2 do a duet. Another thing is tht it culd have done with more songs like some of the best songs were not on it like scream from hsm3 but overall it is a really gd game n i would recommand 2 get it.
High school musical fun!! January 1, 2009 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The game is absolutely fabulous!! It's great how they have the scences from the film playing in the background while your singing! I wish the game had a few more songs on from the 2nd film but apart from that it is a great game!! Recommended for all ages =]
Great for Kids December 31, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 2 six year old daughters love this game. It is easy to set up and play and the scenes from the films play in the background which is a lovely touch. The scoring seems a bit random but proved irrelevant to my girls. Warning you only get one microphone with the Wii version unlke the 2 you get with the PS3 which is a shame considering the game is heavily promoted as a 2 play duet game. Still ebay solved that problem. Overall a fun game and quite polished, recommended (if you like to hear "fabulous" 15 times in a row!)
wow December 28, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
i was pleasantly suprised when i started this game, as i had been given boogie by a friend and was really dissappointed and confused by its setup, all i wanted was a karoke like sing star on the ps2. I love the films and have been brought this for xmas, i went straight for quick play and bam loads of songs from each film to chose from and enjoy. Really good for anyone who loves the films and singing.
Much improved over the last HSM Sing it game! December 27, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I wanted to do a review for everyone who might be thinking of buying this game, but I especially want to target people who have owned the existing High School Musical Sing It game and thought, like me, that it was awful!
In my opinion the original game was a poor attempt for 3 main reasons.
1) The songs were cover versions 2) the animations used to show the characters of the film were terrible 3) Choosing menu options was too difficult
The good news is that the creators of this new version have completely overhauled the game and it's so much better for it.
One main reason is that the songs used are the originals, which is so much better. Best of all though, the videos used when playing are from the original films. When you bear in mind that HSM3 movie isn't even out on DVD yet, it's great that players can learn the songs and see the videos from the new film for the first time on the small screen. My daughter really loved singing with the original films and truly felt like she was a part of the actual film.
The general presentation of the game is excellent with easy to use menus, new gameplay options and tutorials on how to improve the singing. Just in case anyone was wondering, the microphone from the original game can be used for this version to allow duetting.
This game will obviously still mainly appeal to children due to the subject matter but I'm sure parents who see this game will appreciate that it's a better buy for their children than the first one.
