As others have mentioned, this is basically an ATV version of SSX, a snowboarding game that I still play today.
Once you get used to the controls, its a fantastically fun game that is hard to put down. I've played the ATV V MX games before, but they were never this fun. Even when things get harder, you still want to have another go to get through to the next round of races or to just beat your last race position.
Sorry Amazon, but I got this in the high street for 19.99, which for a new game is a bargain.
Recommended, even if you don't usually like racers.

Pure (PS3)
WOW!!! This was a game i read loads of reviews about, gained as much info as possible then played the download before purchasing. It wasnt on my list at all and i had little interest in racing ATV's after having given a few similar games a go in the past.
but this?.....pure genius!!
The graphics...amazing!! some of the best ive yet seen.
the controls? 100% spot on..!!
if anyone tells you this is not as good as Motorstorm, ignore them..this is 100 times better. Even the new Motorstorm Pacific game that ive played comes nowhere near this in terms of playability, trust me. The biggest problem with Motorstorm is the inability to turn or twist mid air to get your vehicle pointing in the right direction. Its a major problem (try the Motorstorm download to see what i mean) but PURE is exactly how you know it should be, twist in mid air, re-adjust, use your ATVs weight to control as if you would in real life. You cant do this in Motorstorm and its so annoying, you end up following the same old route because of this fact but PURE nails it. Its the best thing about PURE for me, and because of this fact, playing the game is a joy, its fun, and you wont put it down. Immediately enjoyable and well worth every penny. Good deal on Amazon to at 29, cheapest ive seen to date.

Just played the demo of this and gotta say I loved it! It has some great little touches, like the driver turning round and shouting yeah!!! when you pull off a great trick and shouting at other drivers ha ha the soundtrack from what I heard is very good and the presentation is great - feels like a good quality game.
This is nothing like and shouldnt be compared to Motorstorm - motorstorm is a racing game with dirt tracks and quads, this is a stunt game with dirt tracks and quads.
If you like SSX tricky then this is for you!! loving it :D

This game is definatley one of the best games of 2008! Ofcourse Motorstorm 2 will beat this, but this beats Motostorm 1!!! You wil not get bored of it, there are over 65,000 ways you can customize youre own quad! 65,000!!! You can take yourself online win cups and challenges, also the graphics are intense, it so fun, the soundtrack is intense, and the gameplay is out of this world!!! GET IT, TRUST ME IT WON'T DISSPOINT YOU!
