4 out of 5 stars Depends on your taste   December 30, 2008
The first time I played this game, I was inclined to agree with everyone that hated it. The mobile suit is clumsy and heavy, it turns like a drunk elephant and it will attack in its own good time thank you very much. It's almost impossible to aim your gun if you can't find the lock-on button, the beam sword is powerful but it's slow, unwieldy and flailing madly in the general direction of your tiny enemies is the only way to score a hit.

However all these difficulties give the game a feeling of reality that's missing from many. Personally, I love the gritty feel of it, but you shouldn't get this game if you're just looking for a quick shoot-em-up and move on. If you love giant robots, impressive death throes, loss of limbs including your head and you've got the time to level your robot up, then go for this game!

1 out of 5 stars badly designed control system   April 29, 2008

This is the only game that I have ever traded in for my ps3.
TRULY AWFUL controls make the movement of the suit and the POV very confusing and no way of resetting when you inevitably get disorientated.
The idea of these games, I thought was to be challenged by the opponents; not by the job of using the controls, its not a driving simulator or something.
very poor....dont bother.

1 out of 5 stars Simply Poor   November 21, 2007

This game is really, really bad, full stop.
The controls are awful, the camera view is awful. The graphics could have come from an xbox (1st gen) and there is nothing remotely orignal about the game at all. In short it is not fun to play and not especially pleasing on the eye. It looks and feels like it was designed by a student on work placement. If the price of the game (I paid 17.99 reduced from 49.99) doesn't give it away then I don't know what will.

Do not buy this even at the knocked down price!

4 out of 5 stars Alot of fun   July 7, 2007

My previous review was a bit too rash. This game is ALOT of fun, sat countless hours playing this, its absolutley awesome. The controls are not as bad as ppl say, easy to get used to, no problem controlling here. Awesome gfx, fun missions and get better and better Mobile Suits. You can play as Zeon or EFF. Lots of fun, a little frustrating in the beginning, but GREAT after you play a little bit. Buy it!

3 out of 5 stars Mobile Suit Gundam is awful   May 9, 2007

This game is awful. It had a great story, but the only good thing about it was the graphics and I love the way I upgrade and customize my Mobile Suits. But the control for that game are rubbish, it was hard to control the MS and attack enemy.

Overall
It is an awful PS3 Launch Title. I would recommend you NOT to buy this game and get Resistance: Fall of Man, Ridge Racer 7 or GTA IV, GT5 and Metal Gear Solid 4 in the future.
