LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga brings the whole family together to play the six Star Wars episodes in one video game.

Amazon.co.uk Review

It's the game that never should've worked. Normal licensed games are usually bad enough but the game of the toy of the film? Clearly the Force was with developer Traveller's Tales though because Lego Star Wars I and II were huge critical and commercial hits that showed that not only could licensed games be good but that titles aimed at kids and the family could be just as innovative and entertaining as any other. Clearly not wishing for any of the new consoles to miss out on the fun this is a compendium of both games with a bunch of new extras thrown in on top.

Together the two games cover both the prequel and original trilogy, with each film given six separate levels of its own, one of which is vehicle based. The rest of the levels though are deceptively simple action adventures with a built-in co-operative mode that anyone can join in and leave whenever they want. The combat is simple enough that anyone can play and you never really die, leaving the most complex part of the gameplay the always cleverly designed puzzles.

For this special version of the games extra levels have been added in (including the Zam Wessell chase from Attack of the Clones) as well as new bonus missions, ten new bounty hunter missions and the ability to play any of the characters in any of the levels. Add in a new online co-op mode for the PS3 and 360 and this really is the complete saga.

5 out of 5 stars Lego but not as we know it, but bloody good fun!   November 10, 2008
Lego starwars is a great game, The multiple sagas, various difficulties and imensly entertaining gamplay will keep any gaming freak happy for hours. Like the other lego games the game benefits from progressive difficulty, meaning that even the newest players will enjoy the early stages without getting too frustrated.

The game utilises the same co-operative multiplayer as with all lego reincarnations of classic films. This makes for fantastic gameplay with friends or if your child needs a helping hand.

Starwars is the best lego incarnation to date, the stages arent to long but the numerous saga's means it will keep you playing for hours. The mini-games add to the benefit of the game and as a result make it well worth the money!

The downside is like with all lego games the camera angle, its side on view makes for some frustrated gameply but its minimal in this game, its definatly more responsive.

This game is well worht the money, throughly enjoyable and entertaining to the Nth degree.

5 out of 5 stars The force IS with you ... always!   July 24, 2008
WOW! Simply... wow. This is one heck of an addicive game. I've never been as hooked up on a game as this one. I simply can't stop playing.

Its fast, fun, and action-packed!

And you can now re-live ALL the star Wars, from the classics, till the new ones.

Simply irresistible! Oh! And its for the whole family, and if its a bit difficult for the smallest, team up; the coop-mode is excellent. Two players at the same time - no split-screen.

5 out of 5 stars Great fun!   July 19, 2008
This game is not just for kids, my boyfriend and I bought it on a whim because it was on sale and it's the most fun we've had playing multiplayer on PS3. The cut scenes are hilarious and knocking the heads off your fellow lego men with your lighsaber never fails to amuse. There's lots to unlock and you can also create your own character to use in free play mode. It has far more playability than the official games of the films in my opinion and is a breath of fresh air amongst all the first person shooters currently available for this console, many of which are fantastic graphically but lacking in gameplay (not counting Call of Duty 4, which is definitely an exception).

I'm giving this game 5 stars as it takes gaming back to what it should be all about - fun!!

5 out of 5 stars Giggler   June 19, 2008

This is the type of game I like to have a go at when I've had a bad day because it totally destresses me. It's fun, easy to just pick up and play, harmless and most of all rib-tickling funny.

I've just bought the Indiana Jones one on the strength of fun I've already had with this. If you want to bring out the 'child' in you then get this and have a good tongue-in-cheek laugh.

1 out of 5 stars Good game but graphics problems   April 21, 2008

Fantastic game. Lots to offer, as it's well balanced with secrets and a very progressive difficulty.

Only problem (and this is a biggie) is the v-sync issues. Basically they have not spent much time re-coding the engine from the Xbox360 port, so there are lots of graphics lags that at times make this game unplayable. The PS3 version doesn't have any anti-aliasing even!! The Wii has the same issue unfornatually. Please game designers - don't give us hand-me-down code, please optimize so we can have a proper game experience!! I will not buy the Lego Indy Jones game until I've read the detailed reviews, as the glitches totally ruined the game for me.
