Rock Your Socks Off !!! December 30, 2008 I got the game bundle with guitar 2 days ago at HMV as they are selling it for 35, a bargain compared to everywhere else you look! My mate recommended it to me and what a recommendation it was, very good game, addicting, and a right laugh if you have 2 guitars when you can battle against your opponent.
The soundtrack for the game is incredible with tunes such as Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs, When You Where Young by The Killers. One song I love now on the game is Eddy Johnson - Cliffs Of Dover, brilliant guitar solo. The PS3 store lets you purchase track packs for the game as well as free songs like the Top Gun theme for 4 which is pretty good. Only negative is that I wish there was some Stereophonics on the game, its legends of rock for christ sake!!
good but pricey December 29, 2008 this is a great game, loads of fun but i dont see why it costs so much on here, amazon is usually cheaper than in-store products but deffinately not in this case.
AWESOME! this game has converted me! December 22, 2008 This is the first review i have ever written but felt that i had to after buying this game on saturday, it went on at 2pm and 5 of us were rocking till the early hours! this is 5 lads not really into rock music but now i find myself playing this game at every opertunity! even before pro evo and tiger woods which in my house is a BIG thing! Would reccomend it to anyone and everyone, (p.s paid 35 for mine with guitar at HMV in warrington
Epic reform to traditional gameplay. October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I only bought Guitar Hero III last week. I ordered it on the Tuesday, and it arrived as promised the following Thursday, which I was very pleased with. But enough about the delivery; this game is Epic.. Unbelievable. It wipes the floor with any other form of gaming to be quite honest, not only does it employ a natural skill, that undying pursuit to attempt harder and more trickier 'levels', it gives you a real exhilaration. I've currently beaten the career mode on easy (not that much an accomplishment I admit) but the transition to Medium is breathtaking. I had to practice my own playing technique to be able to keep up, and after defeating that task I felt great lol. Definately a must have, it never gets boring, it supplies you with hours and hours of fun, and for 60.. It's a bargain. Have fun with your own copy ;)
Serious controller issues August 24, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having had this game for the Wii since it came out, I thought I`d get for the PS3 to take advantage of the downloadable content, a big mistake! On the Wii I could play most songs on hard and even a few on expert hitting most notes. On the PS3 it is a mission to get a decent percentage on easy. The controller seems to be out of sync and doesn`t always register notes. I tried callibrating the lag to no avail so went on the internet looking for help to find out loads of others have had the same problem. A terrible product and its a shame Activision seems to have their heads in the sand as far as fixing a problem they obviously know exists with the PS3 version of this game. If you got another console I would recommend this game as it`s great fun but definetly not for the PS3.
