Battlefield: Bad Company is a first person shooter, set in the near future, that provides gamers with explosive war themed gameplay. EA’s Battlefield franchise has been a great success and Bad Company reaches the demands of next-gen console gaming.
Battlefield: Bad Company features a dramatic storyline flavoured with attitude. The story starts as you enter the single-player campaign; you are dropped into a dramatic Eurasian conflict. As part of a squad of four soldiers, players risk it all to go AWOL on a personal quest (to gain gold and revenge), fighting their own war within the war. Bad Company leads gamers far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes gratitude of a nation just isn’t enough.
Single player mode is packed full of adventure and humour, providing veterans with a cinematic single player experience. Gamers have total freedom, allowing them to be daring and innovative. Your mission is to hunt the gold, but the AI isn’t stupid and will react accordingly.
Battlefield: Bad Company is the first game built from the ground up for next-gen consoles, using DICE’s bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, delivering stunning HD graphics that bring characters, vehicles, and environments to life like never before.
The environments and maps in Bad Company are brilliant, and are 90% destructible. Blowing chunks of buildings off and bulldozing down trees in tanks can be quite fun.
Multiplayer mode allows a huge 24 players to battle it out online. The objective is basically the same as the single-player mode – to defend or attack the gold. The gold is stored in crates and are displayed as red triangles on your mini map. If you are attacking the gold your objective is to locate and destroy the crates, if you are defending you must prevent the attackers from stealing the gold by killing them. The multiplayer mode is extremely addictive and will have you playing for hours.
As in all Battlefield games, you will have access to a range of vehicles, weapons and toys. Land, air or sea, dozens of new tools are waiting for explosive experimentation.
The sound effects in Battlefield are also above average, helping intensify the gameplay action.
With little bad to say about Battlefield: Bad Company, it is certain must have for any first person shooter veteran.
