It’s Sony vs. Microsoft in the new console war of motion sensing. More details on Sony’s PS3 Motion Controller have being leaked. Set for a Spring 2010 launch, the new PlayStation Eye-powered motion-based controller will feature force feedback rumble, something that rival Project Natal can’t achieve for obvious reasons.

The Eye will use its face and head tracking technology already built into the PS3's Software Development Kit and will support up to four controllers at a time. PlayStation Eye's built-in microphone will also allow voice control and voice recognition.

Sony are also looking at the possibility of somehow combing the Motion Controller with the PS3 Sixaxis Dualshock 3 controller. The example given was of using the Motion Controller as a sword while the standard controller acted as a shield.

As more details are leaked, it appears more and more interesting. But we still await an official name for the device as well as an official release date. There is also still no word on what it might cost.
